Yes. Numbers are connected through direct carrier routing, so the line your customers already text keeps working and the history lands in the shared inbox.
Do long messages get split?
They are sent as concatenated parts and reassembled on arrival, so the thread shows one message rather than three fragments.
Is SMS priced separately?
The connected number counts as one account on your plan. Carrier traffic is billed by your carrier at their rate, and we do not add a margin on top.
